Who We Are
OUR HISTORY, OUR HERITAGE is an innovative Bristol based
creative educational social enterprise inspired by prominent
African, Caribbean and British elders and their contribution to
local and global struggles against injustices and to the common
humanity of us all.
Most prominently, modest, but large in his support and
contribution is Richard Hart. His involvement in decolonisation
movements and the birthing of an independent Jamaica, his
activism in the Caribbean region and his documentation of these
struggles for all our prosperity is formidable. We have a new
workshop to pilot based on his life and work. See the Struggle
Goes On WORKSHOPS. But he is not alone, we have many
examples of elders like Paul Stephenson whose activism has been
tireless in the pursuit and defence of civil rights in Bristol and
UK.
On the steering group we are: educationalists, historians, elders
and artists.
